Where was all this stolen from? Your house, garage, shop, business?

What did the cops say?

That is one massive list. Good luck.

If it makes you feel any better our tow rig got siphoned at KOH this year. I think next year we will have a locking gas cap.

But they had security... how did that happen???? :flipoff2:

Seriously though, sorry to hear that. It seems like someone would have noticed that.

We didn't have any trouble this year at KOH. I left a lot of stuff out at night too just cause I was lazy (although I don't think we ever went to bed before 2). It seemed a lot better than last year. There was a lot less Inland Empire trash creeping around.

I am really surprised we didn't have more stolen. We had a generator, welder and a lot of tools just hanging out over night after trying to finish the buggy. And tons of other stuff just hanging out. We just didn't have anywhere to put all of it.

Need a 35' enclosed goose next year. :smokin:

The San Bernadino Sheriffs office took 3 days to respond after the first neighbor called:mad3: If the crime is not "in progress" or the property owner is not present, they will not dispatch a deputy... complete BS. The neighbor who noticed first had lost our phone # so it took another 2 days before he was able to talk to another neighbor with our # who called my aunt. The single responding deputy dusted a few things inside for prints but did not lift any.

We tracked the jeep off-road for 4 miles till it hit the 247 highway with another vehicle following in it's tracks probably loaded with stuff. 4 of my buddies and I just spent 3 days covering 25 square miles looking at every property for signs of our stuff with no luck.

We have passed out and posted 1000 reward fliers. Time will tell:(

Or place is only used by my family and extended family on weekends to ride dirtbikes and ATV's. We have a small house, a singlewide mobile and and 3 steel cargo container garages.

The house and mobile had the door jambs split open when a crow bar was applied to the outside, and the cargo containers had the locking arms cut off with a cutoff wheel.

Damn this sucks ass i cant stand to here about this kind of crap. I would really start looking at friends or aquantances of the family that knew what you had. It sounds like shit but when we got robbed the cops told me its someone you know almost every time. Best of luck with recovering all your stuff and ill keep my eyes open down here in the lower desert.

This sucks. It is hard to keep the SB county inspector away from the homesteads on weekends to make sure you do not have more than 12 people on the land at one time. But when you need a real cop out there they are no where to be seen.

It's not the first ORV theft out there, in 98, during Fun In the Desert, a lady left her quad out over the rise towards Landers as she was out of gas. When we went to get it, it was gone. Her husband tracked it to a house where the he used a firearm to convince the thief it wasn't worth it and quad was recovered.

Just a word of advice. When their are thefts in this area, most people suspect the locals in JV or Landers. Try posting fliers in Lucerne.

Back in '02 our garage was broken into and my 86' - 350X was taken along w/ helmets and other stuff. I was notified by family and arrived at the house about 4 hours later, called the Sherrifs and got a report.

We inturn followed the unique tread pattern out of the driveway and east towards Landers figuring it was those F'n local tweakers. The tracks turned down a trail north and when it hit 247, they turned due west and ran along the pavement next to the highway.

We tracked them for a few hours along the trails on both sides of 247 until it got dark, by then we were into the less populated area of Lucerne, about two miles north of 247 around Post Office Rd.

We awoke early next AM, hit the Lucerne Sherrif Dept, explained what happened, provided them with the report #. They decided to assist and now me, the boy and two deputies were cruising the local dirt roads of Lucerne follwoing these tracks.

We continued tracking them into town for a total of 23 miles where we lost them when the knucklehead hit pavement, traveling between the stop sign and the street sign right across from the Forestry Fire Station.

I placed fliers all over with reward $$, but no luck. However, the ATC was recoverd about 3 years later during a CHP DUI traffic stop. Karma? I hope! The bike was thrashed, parts swapped and Krylon painted to hide the identify.

F'n theiving, bonehead, jobless F-head crooks - Hate em!

Good Luck, and I'll keep my eye out as well!

I received a phone call from my dad earlier today that our family vacation home and storage shed has been broken into. This house is a mile off of Highway 247 by Boone Road. We don't know how long it's been since it was broken into. The last time the house was used was for KOH. The locks were drilled out of the doors, even the locks in the diamond plate doors on our brick storage shed. The shed was hit the worst. It holds all the tools my family uses/used to build the addition on the house. 4 Tool boxes full of tools, 2 compressors, 1 welder, generator, various hand tools and saws, ladders, and other misc stuff for the house like heaters. At first we thought the 4 1980's ATC's that were in the shed were stolen but they were found at the house. Strange, they all run and are in really good condition for being an ATC. My dad called the sheriff, they said they should be there this afternoon. He was able to talk to one neighbor and he said many of the homes in the area are getting broken into. They believe it's the locals who know which houses are vacation homes.

I know! My dad called me at 9pm when the sheriff finally showed up. They had some questions for me since we were the last to use the house. The sheriff actually asked if I knew who did it....uummm yeah. The sheriff also asked my dad if we drilled the holes in the locks....:shaking:

The only thing that seems to be missing in the house is some cash we left on the kitchen table for my dad.

What a statement to make . Considering how hard the founders /all of the people involved in makeing koh happen are fighting to keep jv open for offroad use to everyone ,includeing you . I have been racing in that part of so cal for 11 years and the f-ck head drugies were there long before koh and will be there long after .
