The seal on the diff of my D60 is leaking. Its a heavy duty Diff cover and I'd like to know if you guys use Gaskets or Gasker an RTV Gasket maker? Can I get a gasket at the local Auto Zone?

Sounds good thanks. I know there are a few different types such as high heat, non hardening and some others. Is there a specific type you prefer?

Also, which diff fluid would you suggest? Its running 4.56 with 42's.

Sometinhg else that you might be interested in are the Lube Locker gaskets. They're a re-useable silicone free metal based rubber gasket.

I have several in stock ready to ship if you'd be interested in using one to get rid of the leaky silicone mess!

Check and make sure nothing is preventing the diff cover from bolting tight to the housing.

My buddy had a Ruffstuff 3/8" diff cover on his Dana 44 that was welded up wrong, and thusly sat too close to the carrier bolts. Not enough to tell by eye, only could see the resulting puddle under the diff the next day.

Might want to double check....
