I need some help with the form 1 fer a muzzle quieting device.

4c asks for caliber, if i put 22lr down, and i stick it on my 556/223 upper will i find my self in the slammer?

1d asks for a model, length of barrel and overall. Do i put down what ever i want to call it there, the length of the silencer, or just n/a becuase i won't be modifying the barrel?

What else do i need to do to get this application rolling? I saw somewhere on it saying i need an fbi form and fingerprint card? Anyone got a link on how to do this like the one for the CnR app??

All you need to put is 22 caliber.

For model: make one up, then put whatever overall length you are planning to use.

FWIW, this is what I did on my Form 1 and it was approved.

Put down .224 for the caliber.
Put n/a for bbl length
put the overall length in the overall length
Put silencer for the type
give it your own model num and serial num

Correct, you need to order them from the ATF.

Bringing this back up. Going to get this thing sent off for my 300 black out build. Looking at 4H its asking for additional description. If i am only putting the required name serial and model can i leave this blank??

Bump! Wow, been working on this damn near two years!! I got a trust set up. Anyone looking for a trust in the DFW area, i found a lawyer(thanks Dunno!) that will set one up for $200 bucks!

A quick check list before i put this thing in the mail tomorrow!

2 copys of my form 1. Front and back, not two pages.

1 copy of my trust.

1 check for 200 bucks.

Nope, that just means that they received your paperwork and are busily ignoring it for now. Give them a month or so before pestering them to get a pending date.

LOL, sadly, this.

If you want something to do, NFA tracker has fields for date mailed/received/check cashed so you can at least do that stuff. A month or so and you can go put your pending date in at NFA tracker.

I stopped by NFA tracker Friday night and there is a link to another user's website that has a 'date you might get your stamp' wizard that is kind of neat. It's also a little depressing though.

Did that. I have a 44% chance of getting it in July. I can live with that.
