Does anyone have expierence with these axles: Websites and possible places to buy them would be greatly appreciated. I am leaning towards Portal, may add portal ends to my 60's what are yalls thoughts?

Also dont rockwells only have like 6.72 ratio available? add teh reduction units at the outers and have like 13 to 1 final gear ratois? hope you dont want to drive very fast in it.

Oh no yall misunderstand, I am thinking of going with either the Portal axle or Rockwells not combining them. I am thinking about adding portal ends to my 60's but dont think I will. Still not sure.

Well well these questions are up my reasearching ally.

I am building Project X with Dana 60 and 70 centersections with Unimog portal outers. The BIG problem/roadblock is this the unimog portals reverse the rotation of the wheels, so I will have to flip the 60/70 center sections upside down to get the proper rotation at the wheels. I am putting 5.88s in the diffs. That will give me 12.?? at the wheels. Badass I say. With the running gear components I will have 3 crawl ratios 77:1 155:1 and 296: or so....all with the 2x of the torque converter. Can you say

Bad Mo Fo

Anyhow thats some things to think about with different center sections.

Fleck I was thinking of doing the same w/ my 60's; flipping the diffs, and adding portal ends, the front ( high pinion) should be fine (as far as oiling) but what about the oiling for the regular rear end (after flipping)??
