Hello,
I am from Europe , Bulgaria, and due to your hard trail-trophy style of trucks i might get more info for what i am looking for.
I am making a ZUK with 1.6 Vitara engine, with TOYOLA LJ70 Axles running on Simex Jungle tracker 35'', but i want to change the steering type with a ram style one. The car will be mainly used over a winch trophies so i need to get rid of the bars in the front.
Here we are not used to that type of steering but for my case this ZUK will be one of it's own, and as much help as i can get will be appreciated.
I am looking for a steering with hydrolic Ram fix at the axle but, it must work over with the engine off as well ( i know the power difference without the oil pump off). Not a full hydrolic steering but a semi-one, i really don't know the right name, excuse me for that. Any help on full kits for my ZUK ?
Thank you !

i think you must be talking about hydraulic assist. very common over here.you retain your power steering box and pump, drill and tap box for pressure ports and hook up a ram. there are many write ups on the subject if you do a search, and there are many companies that offer kits .

with hydro assist he would still end up with "bars in the front" you need to read http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PR-Hydro_Steering/index.html if you wanna go full hydro you can get a steering valve with a manual function built in that will work even without pressure....not great but wheels will turn. read it

Thanks,
i read the stuff over, but still i cannot figure out the stuff it works, when turning the steering wheel the amount of turn in the wheels, this part is something i cannot fully understand, but in time hope so !
Still we are thinking over the steering but we will see how it would be !
