Picked up a f250 SD knowing it had some issues but the price was right. As it sits right now, 12" lift with National spring leafs front and rear. Noticed that the bushings in the front leaf springs were toast so called National and had them send me out new bushings for the front and rear springs. I have gone through the entire front end now and things are good now. Still need to do the rear. I had a guy tell me yesterday that he was following me on the freeway and it looks as though the truck is dog legging. So had the wife drive it up and down the block last night so I could check it out and sure enough I see it too. Could this be caused by the bushings being gone or is it something more????

What is done to the front as far as steering and pan hard bar? X-over steering or just a pitman arm. Pan hard in the stock location or relocated?

dog-tacking is caused by rear thrust angle-the rear axle is not square with the truck-have a 4 wheel alignment done, the rear axle will need to be shifted some to correct this, then reset front steering...

Front steering consist's of a drop pitman and dropped track bar mount. Track bar has been rebuilt with a Heim joint. Steering is something I have yet to tackle due to cost. I would like to switch it over to a high-steer but the cost of the product is making it difficult at this time.
FORDTECHGURU _ Thank you for the information. I figured the rear end was an issue. I have to bushings that have failed causing the leaf spring to ride up against the hanger. I will be pulling the springs in the next few days to fix this. I will also be changing the tires on the truck. At the point that all of this is complete I will take it in for an alignment. I didnt know you could do a four wheel alignment on a solid axle rearend. Learned something new.
Thank you both for the input.

One other thing. The steering arm and the panhard are in alignment. That is one thing I knew to check.

Most likely a broken center pin on one of the rear leaf springs.

Had a broken one on the front leaf so I wouldnt doubt that at all.
