From what I understand, it locks by sandwiching clutch disks tightly together, if that's the case, doesn't sound like it will last long. That's just my guess. It may be different, I don't know. I just prefer a solid, metal mechanical lock to friction disks doing the holding.

I have these locker sin mine front and rear with cromoly axles and auburn gears. I have an 04 rubicon transfer case installed as well (4/1).
its OK for what I use it for. Im a team member of Pacific Northwest Search & Rescue and the jeep is my SAR rig, NO ROCK CRAWLING. The nice thing is the clutches will slip before you break something. so for a dana 35 or the dana 30 its a fine locker as these axles suck for anything else than just a nice 4x4 jeep with lockers. got Dana 44's, save your money and go ARB.

I have one and it does not work all that great. I guess if you are running 33" tires or less they are ok. Mine will not and have never completely locked up for me with 37's or 35's. Might want to get a mini spool or and ARB I suggest and ARB so that way you only have to spend the money once.

The 2 or 3 in our club have had problems, most of us run ARBs with no problems.

Thanks for the input,I think I am going to go with an ARB.
I run 35" tires and plan on going bigger soon so maybe Auburn might not be for me.
Input on the ARB?? Right now they come with a free compressor.
This would an step up from what I have now for air on board.
Thanks.

Thanks,
I am going to order my ARB this evening. The compressor that comes with it will only run the locker. Next year when I do the front Locker I will plan installing One larger compressor that can run both lockers and air up tires.
Are these guys my best bet for the price? I have never ordered from this place.
