Hey CJ, I dont know if you can change anything on the page you linked to for pics, but the guy identified as Tom Lynch? is probably Steve Johnson of the Poor Boys unless he sold the jeep. I havent wheeled down there since the 2000 VA4WDA trail ride tho. Good job on the beast, turned out kick ass.

kwrangln,

Hey Ken. Steve sold his Jeep back in April to Tom. Im in Poor Boys too btw.

1SAWB,

That is my friend Eddie's Jeep. Chevy 350, SM420, Atlas 2, rockwells, 42's. Custom frame, etc. The pictures are marked Donnie is another one just like Eddies but with an SM465. He is getting rockwells soon too.

Beast40,

It works real good, I'm very happy with it.

I want to hit paragon soon, trying to find sometime to go up there.

Antique Vehicle tags. The vehicle has to be 25 years or older. No state inspection...just to be used for pleasure driving. A lot of hot rod guys use this kind of registration. I have it titled as a 51 Willys.

I really don't know. Shouldn't be too much more than 6 or 7".

Nice pics, CJ - it appears to work as good as it looks:). I know you flipped the hubs, but are your Rockwells full-width or did you narrow the housings? Also, what backspacing are those rims? Thanks.

My hubs are flipped in and they are unnarrowed housings. The wheels are 15x10 with 4" bs...I like the width.

CJ

do you have a wheel center to wheel center width measurment or overall width you could share? thanks looks like it works well!

The axles are 69.25" wide...with a 15x10 wheel with 4" bs it would be 71.25" wide center of wheel to center of wheel.

While in Tellico in early June (I think) I had the pleasure to see some of the Poor Boys rigs. All I can say is WOW! My local buddies call my rig "PRETTY" but after seeing how unbelievably clean these rigs were put together "Pretty" takes on a whole new meaning. Street rodders would be jelous of the paint on a couple of there rigs. THis is not to say they werent built tough, a couple were set up very much like CJ's rig. The funny part is before we could see them or hear them on the C.B. we could hear a loud knocking sound. THis went on for a while until we finally passed them and realized it was one of there motors sounding like it had a rod ready to break thru the block.
Dave :)Pulled some cable that day:)

Hey TTJTRUBL...sounds like us in Tellico. We goto Monteagle every memorial day weekend for the event there and then on to tellico for a week. Thanks for the compliments. What you heard was my motor on its LAST leg...I ran it until it blew up, on trail 6. Thanks for the reminder :P

Sorry to bring it back up. I guess I didnt even recognize it was a TJ:) That is one fine rig you have there. Yea, I was talking to some of your friends in the back of the line and they said you had just left Monteagle, funny thing we were heading to Monteagle the next day to meet up with a few of our buddies to do some more wheeling. Was it just me or was Tellico VERY tough that day? We tried to go up guardrail and both of us had to winch, on the pad both of us had to winch, seems I couldnt even get to the hard stuff that day and then I broke a control arm and a front driveshaft U-joint while going down 12 as it just starts to POUR rain.
