Whiplash 10-10-2002, 03:45 PM I plan on replacing my current tow rig soon and I am seriously considering a 2003 Dodge HO. I plan on bombing it to around 400-450 hp and 850 torque range. Has anyone heard or read how well the 6 speed handles this kinda power? I know TDR is the best place to go but I can't post or do a search since I am not a member. damon_achey 10-10-2002, 04:10 PM the NV5600 handles it fine. But you will need to upgrade the clutch because it won't last long. MattS 10-10-2002, 11:25 PM My brother has about 10,000 miles on his since the upgrades. No tranny issues so far. The clutch on the other hand needs to be replaced like damon_achey said. He's at about 350 hp 750 tq and the clutch will chatter towing 14,000or even 5000 if you put your foot into it. That is just with a chip/exhaust/bleed of valve. Put a turbo housing or injectors in it and the clutch will need to be replaced for sure. It's the tq not hp that gets the clutch. ;) | |
