Will 5150s work with ford style towers? Anyone try this? I dont have my hands on the shocks yet, but im thinking of notching the mount to fit the res?

If you have the tire clearance, I'd flip the res. to the outside and NOT notch the shock tower. Cutting it will weaken it significantly.

Unless you're getting a smoking deal on some used 5150s I'd opt for the 5100/5125s. The 5150 res isn't so much a resevoir as a shiny bit of bling... Save some cash and solve your packaging issue in one go, and performance should be about the same - I believe it's the same valving, shock construction etc.

edit:failing that, i think modifying ford towers to work would be almost as much work as running a set of towers out of tubing. I'm assuming res. out is not an option for tire clearance, or you wouldn't be asking...otherwise I agree with kennytj.
