Hey guys i just joined this site and gotta say it has been very helpful. I tried searching on this and did not get many results.

My truck is a 1994 fullsize chevy blazer My problem is my truck is not overly huge but it is tall enough to give me front drive shaft issues. I grinded the ears down a little bit on a cardine joint and it clears and works(This was really just for testing the grinded ears make me nervous). So i know i can get a high angle joint and it would be fine but i would really like a little less of an angle. Has anyone clocked their tcase down like one bolt space? Clearance is not of a huge concern. If i clock it down how far is too far before i will have issues with fluid?

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

thats 60* of turn, it will move it almost straight down and "not overly huge" and "clearance is not an issue" dont go well together. you are talking about 8-10 of drop.

if you arent that tall then you dont have the ground clearance to safely clock a tcase that low.

I had problems like that too. i fixed it with a tom woods super flex u joint its pricey but problem sloved on my end... i have a 1410 joint on both ends (the front shaft) tom woods is on the top of the shaft... 73 chevy trk with an 8 in lift..

If you have a drivers drop tcase and use a passenger drop clocking ring, you can then clock the tcase down just a bit.

I will look into that. I appreciate the feedback, yeah thinking about it now one bolt space would be about 60 degrees and that is way more then i am looking to go. I was thinking like maybe 20 degrees if that. If i could rotate my front pig up that would alleviate my problem also but my spring perchs are apart of the pig and i do not want my steering rotated at all either.
