Product Advancement and Racing Testing Technician

Location: Irvine, California

Reports To: Product Testing Supervisor

Status: Hourly

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility for this position is evaluation test riding during various developmental stages for on- and off-highway motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and utility vehicles. This position will also be responsible for submitting complete and timely technical reports detailing test results.

Other responsibilities include providing mechanical support in the shop and in the field, fabrication repair support, as well as steel and aluminum fabrication/welding for special projects. Additional responsibilities including organizing and cleaning the PAR shop areas and test vehicles, as needed.

Requirements:
Expert-level motocross rider in good physical condition capable of performing endurance riding five days per week. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills. Applicants should also posses strong analytic and comparative skills with the ability to document and communicate detailed test results via PC generated reports and e-mail. Experience with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Hands-on mechanical expertise is required, with steel and aluminum TIG welding ability preferred. Must be a self-starter, exceptionally organized, detail oriented and able to handle sensitive and confidential materials with discretion. Requires flexibility to deal with multiple projects and shifting deadlines. Position requires greater than 50% travel annually.
