92 YJ, stock steering box: my tie-rod hits the rod end that goes into the piman arm when the suspension compresses. i need a pitman arm that is shorter. does anyone know which one will fit?

here's my quick crude drawing: :D:D:D the bottom one is what i need.

A little more info may be helpful, like how long is the one ctr to ctr that is on your box now?

How short the new one needs to be to clear may also be helpful.

Hope you realize putting a shorter one on is going to limit your turning ability.......

Good luck.

From your drawing, it looks like you'll lose a lot of turning radius (shorter pitman arm = wheels don't turn as far).

They don't get much shorter than a Wrangler pitman, I think you need to solve you steering vs. suspension issues via another avenue.

My YJ's drag link hit the tierod with stock parts, SUA lift, and no shackle reversal, but when I went SRS, Dana 44, Hysteer, 3/4 ton truck tie rod and drag link everything cleared fine.

A shackle reversal may be the easiest answer.
