I've got a '91 cr250. I ride it hard as crap, but I've never gotten into cutthroat motocross racing. So needless to say, I'm behind the times pretty bad. Never having the latest thing though it never really bothered me. I just got the shock rebuilt on the '91, but the forks are pretty much done. I'm tired of putting money into it, I just want to beat the crap out of it!! I got it for only $400. Anyways, I jump the piss out of the thing with the $hitty forks and all and the other day I jump on my friends 2001 yzf250. HOLY $HIT that is one bad mamajama!! So responsive on the throttle and the suspension.......I couldn't even tell when I landed a jump it was so soft. I don't know what my point is here That just really put into perspective how outdated my bike is and what a higher performance level I could be at with a newer bike. Don't get me wrong, I'm a firm believer that it's mostly rider. But I just had no idea how bad that bike was!! I wish I had the beans for a new bike, but I've got about 5 hobbies to many!!
