: ID a Bayonet for me?

No cool story, I was out for a ride one day years back and grabbed it from a pawn shop for cheap. Don't know much of anything about it, but it's been in my office for a long time, and I've always been curious.

I guess the picture doesn't show very well, but it has 1092 stamped into the wood, and 1901 stamped into one side of the blade and US stamped into the other.

It looks like a M1901 Krag Springfield Armory bayonet.

Cool. That auction wasn't there last time I searched. I didn't even realize there was a button there until I read the description:laughing: Apparently the button on this one still works good.

I bought it because I hadn't ever seen a bayonet with the original sheath before. We don't have cool toys north of the border:(

So are these worth anything? Collectable?

I wouldn't go by that price. Just like eBay, people often over estimate the value. I have never priced one. I just did a Google search and came up with these links.
