i've searched and read til my eyes are bleeding. What rear calipers are you guys using and are you happy with them ?

It seems that most auto manufacturers use smaller calipers in the rear than the front. but I've read of alot of people using the same calipers front and rear. I was about to buy a set of calipers like is on my front 44 when I got to thinking that might be too big a caliper (ie. too much fluid needed) ... so I was thinking of getting some "small" calipers but aren't sure what vehicle they come on now after looking at these pics.

what is the visual difference in a set of big or small GM calipers ? here's some pics of calipers I got off an auto parts site:

chevy truck 1/2, 3/4, etc - $13.45 - $15 core (each)

82 chevy impala 9.99 - $5 core (each)

80 cadillac elderado 10.88 - $15 core (each)

i used to run a gm metric caliper. about 20 from auto zone.

the GM metric is the one the all-pro rear disk kit uses.

big tires need big brakes. i would run something larger than the metric calipers. ( they came on gm mid size cars. ie camero's )

The 76-78 Eldorado calipers are for a 6000 lb Caddy...by 79 they would be smaller cuz the car was massively downsized.

i wouldnt run any thing with a piston smaller than about 80mm unless its a multi piston caliper.

go with the chev pu calipers.. 1/2 and 3/4 ton have the same mounting patern , but 3/4 ton has biger pistons, 1 ton has bigger piston.
