I know, I know, I shoulda talked my buddy into a JB conversions, or an AA but he went with this POS instead :shaking: Anyways got it installed and with the yoke nut tight, I have about 1/4" of play in and out on the main shaft. I sent an email to RR seeing what they could come up with. The other ~6-8 AA sye's I have installed never had any play in them once installed. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as I'm alittle stumped on this one. Flame away :flipoff2:

Run it. Report back in 10,000 miles.

i would check the threads on the shaft. it really sounds like the nut is not tight enough. how many ft/lbs do you have the nut at?

I doubt it would make it 10k. Also The nut is to spec but doesn't seat like all the other nuts have on the sye's that I have done. Omix thinks I'm missing a c-clip...which they don't even call for in the install nor will the stock one fit. or the tone ring for the speedo is backwards. If it is then the distructions are wrong. I will mess with it this weekend as I have to finish up another flat skid and tire carrier before tomorow morning...o joy

my first time installing an RE sye, i didnt get the shift forks seated correctly in the case, everything went together but the shaft itself had play because of the forks. had same symptom your describing, might be something to look at.
