found one for $100.00 steering gear box only, will it work on a zuk? (3 link in future ) and what pump other than the toy system will work on it? I have a full sidekick system on the bench. want to go to 39's someday. it's going through a transformation anyway

thanks for your helpful replies it will determine if I grab it.

Yes they work on the Zuk, they make it A LOT easier to run than an IFS box since the pitman arm swings forward. With the IFS box, you cant push it far enough forward without stretching your frame or moving your axle back to make it work correctly. I have run both with a PSC pump and the FJ80 box seems to be stronger also.

Here's a link to tapping it if you want to go that direction

Thanks for the advise I picked up the FJ box last night beefy compared to stock gear box and it's not tapped yet. I planned on setting up my steering flat anyway and cutting/stretching the nose flat on the front. I like the low set up on a build I saw before. I want moderate suspension ( better than what a stock zuk comes with anyway ) and much better droop of the suspension when wheeling. I'm on 31's now with old man emu springs ( spoa ) so even if I get a little lift later with the links I should be fine. this is a long project so just collecting parts now.

Hey PpaZmrf, I see your local to me did you tap your box yourself? I see the link you added.

Yeah, I hit you up on ZK also, tapping the box was a piece of cake :smokin:

Are the splines on the FJ80 box the same as an Ifs box (steering shaft, not pitman arm)? I just got an fJ80 box but don't have the shaft. I talked to a guy that wanted $120 for a shaft, seems steep. Whats the best (easiest, cheapest) way to connect this to my sami shaft?
