Anyone using D-60 Super Joints from Yukon/ Randy's? I'm struggling to get the f-ing things assembled and not get the o-rings outta whack. Should I just send the POS's back, or are they worth it? :mad3:

I'm running them on a D30, wasn't too tough to get them installed. What issues are you having with the o-rings?

I run them in my 60, they have been great for me, i dont know why they dont go together but i broke an alloy shaft and the joint is still going strong.

One thought - you arn't trying to put them together with the grease zerks in the caps, are you?

The problem I have is that the o-rings are coming out of the groove, then it locks up and the joint won't move smoothly. I haven't installed the zerks yet.

Did you smear some vasaline on the orings or are you trying to put it together dry?

Also, are you seating the cap on the end of the joint before you start wailing on it or are you trying to load it onto the cross on the fly?

Be patient. Lube them. They will go.

I ran them for years, broke a LOT of shafts, never had a joint break.

I had a set on my old d-30. The grove on a couple of caps was not machined quite as wide as the others. On these, the o-ring would not seat correctly causing the caps to be very difficult to get on, especially compared to the others.
Don't know if this is what your experiencing but might be worth a look.
