Will parts from a Jeep Dana 60 (and 44) fit into a Chevy Dana? I'm not real sure of the parts interchangability. I came across an early 70's late 60's Jeep truck (360/TH400/Dana 20? TC/Dana 44/Dana 60 w/ 4.56's and locker). The price is right ($200), just wondering what I can use out of it. The Dana 44 is the drum brake ball/socket type (non-desirable).

Yeah, the Dana 44 stuff will swap to a closed knuckle Dana 44, but like you said, Why? The gears may be used in an open knuckle, but not much else. If the Jeep Dana 60 rear is a five lug, flanged axle, semi-floater unit, there's not much that can be used in a chevy axle, sell it to a Jeep guy looking for one (there's plenty interested) If it's a full-floater eight lug it's nearly the same as the Chevy axle, but may have a different spline count.

Basically, Jeep parts = hard to find and expensive with lots of people looking for them, Chevy parts = easy to find and dirt cheap, and I can't get rid of enough of them.
