So here is a little urban four wheeling from last Tuesday. The truck leaned hard coming out of this hole….
Ok so perhaps hauling 400 lbs of tubing on the side of the rig had something to do with it… this rack system worked great when I only needed on or two 20’ sticks. What you can't see in the photo is the 500lbs of cut angle, and bar stock in the bed of the rig. Soft suspention + extra 1000lbs of cargo = that Cadillac Cruiser ride! I think it is time to hit the gas on picking up the F350 material hauler/tow rig! :D

Ya, Cruiser lean to right! The sucker sat a good 4” lower on the right side all 20 miles back to work then home from the steel yard. I picked it all up mid day during the work day. Since I normally don’t daily drive the rig to work I tend to get comments from co-workers when I do drive it, this time it was “Wow you must have a big pluming job to do!?”. Oh well better than the usual… well you know. (“Nice H##P”)
I was just waiting for the rack to fold up on me, dropping almost $300 of tube on the HW! (I would then drive over it most likely) Arrrrg. I am not going to risk it anymore and just get the pick up that I need.
Yup the head light bezel is from the 79’ to 83’ rigs. DOT changed the spacing requirement for head lights from what I understand. Toyota added that into the all new tub and frame that was introduced with the 79’ model. If you look around some of the 80’s rigs had chrome bezels!
BTW: Oh, did I indicate one of the States finest was not happy with the “Unsafe load… violating of code 245.1254…I need a donut...red flags….” I was hauling? I completed him on his fine police work and told him I would make his recommended corrections.
