Looking for information on this gun and all I can really find is that they were produced between '89 - '96/7 for Springfield and that they are basically a special edition of lightweight compact frame paired with a Champion (Commander) slide (CCO Configuration). A guy wants to trade it + cash for a Franchi O/U I have for sale and since I am in the market for a 4" 1911, I wanted to look into it a little. Can anyone help shed some light on this gun (yes, I already searched but nothing came up)?

How much is the Franchi going for? They are sweet guns

I have the Franchi Alcione Field with both the 12ga (28") and 20ga (26") barrel sets. Asking $1100.

I know nothing about the pistol but whats up with the beaver tail ? Sticks out like a friggin shelf and looks like a real poor fit. I would wonder if its orig. to the pistol

I saw a Lew Horton .44 revolver on gunsamerica for $775. Is that the one you are talking about?

That is what I am trying to figure out too. The seller supposedly has another Lew Horton Night in his possession and I am waiting on pics of that gun to compare. I do know the Hogue grips and the night sights are original.

There was a pistol just like the one in the original post for sale on Gunsamerica when I made that post. It looks like it sold already. The price was $775 including shipping. I should have done a screen capture and posted it.

Looks like a drop in beavertail, the frame isn't radiused

Guy gives you pistol and at least 400$ sounds like a good deal.

Its not an OEM beavertail.

His offer was the pistol and $600 but I have since sold the Franchi outright. Now I just have to decide what to spend that money on. 4" 1911, AR10 or AR15 :D

Thanks for the help guys!
