Looks like it works pretty damn well; nicely executed trail rig.

What are the rest of the specs on that thing Jason?

Shorty front bumper, no doors... starting to remind me of my rig.:smokin: :flipoff2:

Yea we we are workin on the flex for the rear. and yea those are TJ Re ARMs. Looking back we should have made our own arms, but he worked at Rubicon Express and got them for pretty cheap.

Other specs on his xj are: Custom made shackles in the rear that allow the springs to twist, 4.5" leaf packet and 2" block (1.5" shackle).

He also made the front bumper which he wants to make a multi mount for it. Hes got lockers front and rear on stock axles ( ) but were swappin em out in about a month. We also might be workin on a rear coil conversion soon. :D

Has he had any problems with losing coils? Doesn't look like it's been tested much yet.

let's see some pics of those twisting shackles. and what does RE use on each end of their long arms? Johnny Joint at frame, rubber at axle?

Rubber at the frame mount, Johnny's on the axle.

You got that backwards.

okay, so who's right? It seems as though you would want rubber on the axle end to compensate for the bind of the radius arm setup.

okay, I just checked REs website, and from what I can see in the little tiny picture (http://www.rubiconexpress.com/dynamic/mainpage.asp?folderid=184) it looks like it has a JJ at the frame end, rubber at the LCA axle end, rubber where the UCA connects tothe LCA, and a Y shaped bracket where the UCA connects to the axle, which would make this connection use the rubber already there.

RE runs Johnny's on the frame end and rubbers on the axle end. Just like Clayton's arms.

I was under the assumption the bushings and Johnnys were set up like the SuperFlex lowers. My mistake.;)

the coil slides down to the rubber on the stock bump stops but hasn't came out yet.

If the coil falling out does become an issue, just pick up up some soft rubber from Home Depot or some place like that and use that as a bumpstop/coil holder inner. Yup, your right, it doesn't act to good as a bump stop, but that is what your inner fender wells are for. :D
