Go ahead and drill out the main fitting. But be very careful about modifying the valve. I left the valve in my second pump stock and it seem to work fine.

This doesn't work on a TJ TC pump... that's a mod for a Saginaw P pump like a CJ has.

A J10 pump won't "fit" on a TJ. Saginaw pump on J10, TC pump on TJ. The size difference is in the order of 4 or 5 times bigger on the Saginaw pump side. That said, I have a Saginaw on my TJ, but it came as a kit from PSC years ago.

You are confusing installation of a J10 or Dakota steering GEAR on a TJ, which can be done.

If you look at this picture, you can see the aluminum mount that moves the pump farther out. The engine side bolts to where the TC pump used to be, then of course the P pump bolts farther from the engine... and a longer serpentine belt has to be used (of course).
