Here is the deal, basically I have a buddy who is driving me crazy to get my walther pk380. I got it right before christmas and have put 8 rounds through it. I do however love the feel and it shot great. I loved the trigger and I'm picky on the trigger pull. He is offering me about 25 over what I have in it.

If I keep it, I will have to get the reloading supplies for it including brass, dies, toolhead. I'd love to be able to shoot 1 to 2k through whatever pistol I have this summer and just dunno it would be logical to have the 380 do the job.

So I am thinking sell at this point to get a 9mm pistol that I have reloading supplies for. What says you?

If I sell I need to replace it asap as it is my current home defense pistol. I'm a fan of the XD line I know this but hate the grip on the xdm. It's too narrow. I like the feel of the M&P but have never shot one. I don't know of any ranges here that allow rentals.

I'm looking for a pistol in 9mm, prefer double stack, either normal size or compact with a short trigger pull. I don't care if the pull is 8 lbs if it is super short but a long drawn out pull will get the gun sold asap.

What pistols do you think meet criteria? Lets keep this around 500 dollars.

My fiance loves her PK380, but you're right, finding 380 for a reasonable price sucks.

I have an XDm, and it is very comfortable in my hand. When you tried one on, were you able to switch out the backstraps and see if there was a better fit? I had to put the smallest one of the three that came with it on mine.

I have been carrying my ppk/s in warmer weather going on 7 years now . Put about 800 rounds down range. Luv it! It is the only auto that I carry on a regular basis ( colder weather the S&W 19) . Mine is the older Interarms .380 and seems the consenses is they need to take about 1000 rounds threw them to smooth the action out. For only $25, I would just keep it, and carry it. I have found just a couple of hollow point -high performance cartridges that it feeds well. But have had only 5-6 problems with ball ammo of any kind. Give it a chance and you will learn to like it.

NEVER sale or trade a gun... KEEP it and work out the money for another.

Pretty simple, really. Do you NEED the $$$ to get the 9mm? If not, keep it and have both.

An extra set of dies isn't that much & you probly won't be putting thousands of rounds a week through it anyway.

How many times have you heard "Sure am glad I sold that gun!"
