So my buddy bought a 96 Disco and when we tried to put it in Diff Lock nothing happened. I checked underneath and everything is moving but its not working and no light in the dash. It has 230,000 miles on it and probably was seldom engaged if ever. Any thoughts? We tried pushing on the lever underneath to give it a little more push but no luck.

Is the arm on the transfer case turning? Remove the arm and turn the shaft manually.

I is not uncommon for the shifters to seize up if not used.

I will check it out the T-case arm is moving though.
