I have been searcing high and low but haven't found a definite answer. I am trying to upgrade my 3rz with a new alternator similar to ERIKB

What I don't know is if anyone has had any luck with the Summit alternator in the 3rz application, and if there needs to be any modifications to the bracket. Any insight into this would be great. thanks

I don't know about the GM one from Summit (on the 3rz), but I'm sure if it is'nt a direct bolt on you could fab something up to make it work...

Search more on boyle future tech, there's some good reading. I've had mine that was done by them ~5 years ago. Only now is it starting to crap out on me.
