Anyone got info on the Placerville Rock Racing action from today? Buddy of mine, Rudzuki, gave it a go for the first time. Just curious how things went.

Only thing I heard was from my Pirate neighbor, Glenn Bonner. Glenn and Kirk bought Mike Ladd's (Snowball) Sammy and they took 2nd place at P-ville in the 35 and under class. Not bad for a couple competition rookies... :D:D

It was an awesome turnout. A lot of non competiton type of spectators. They were screaming, hooting and hollering. I think it was a great success.

I spoke with one of the 20/30 club members that put it on and he said that they are thinking of possibly doing more of these next year. Possibly a series type of deal with maybe 4 of these a year.

I didn't get the actual best times yet. But I am sure that Big Rich will be on to let us know the finalist.

There were a lot of axles/u-joint breaks and at the end of the night a kewl rollover. I will down load the pics on what I have tomorrow.

I think the best run for the Unlimited class was under a minute. I didn't catch what the best time was for the Stock Mod class. All I can say is that those guys put on a good show.

I have to admit that it was a pretty good show......

Shane did a great job, the course was brutle. In the morning alot of the drivers were asking when we were going to bring in the rocks, well, it took its toll and kicked nearly everyones butt.

I'll post more on this later, sorry I'm exhausted.

Ill, second that! Joel did a great job of driving, and his rig worked awsome, (It is also some of sweet looking fabrication).
Rollie and Brandon gave a great performance.
Glen and Kirk are really starting to get the feel for their new rig, and both of them are doing great, behind the wheel and spotting. I expect we will see a lot more of them in the finals at upcomming events.
Congrats to all of you!

In the large tire class, The buggy that took 1st (Im sorry I dont know his name), had a nearly perfect 3rd run, at 48 seconds, and he bumped Team Purples (Ron & Melanie Shneider) 51 second run. Stacey Breckenridge, I believe took 3rd with his monsterous 54" tires and 62 second run, and Scott Lentz, got bumped to 4th with his 66 second run in Brutus.

I was basicly denied at the entrance of the course, on both of my runs, when I launched out of bounds twice.

Congrats to all of the winners, the 20-30 Club, and Rich Klien..Great Job!!

The crowd was great, and seemed to really enjoy the event.

See you all next time!

Casey Boyd is the guy that had the amazing 48 sec. run. It was late after most of the spectators had gone. He just let more air out of the tires and did it with no spotter and 3rd gear bouncing off the rev limiter!! He was so happy that he came.

I had a great time in the 35" class even though I broke 4 feet from the end. What a great time. I will go back for sure.

This is the only pic I could find of Caseys rig. At the comp it was stretched with coilovers in the rear and 37" Claws and aluminum sides.

A big thanks to Rich and the 20-30 club for a great event. I had a blast and will do as many more in the future as I can.

This was my damage for the day. Looks to me like the ujoint caused the damamge to the axle. As in, if I had CTMs it would have held up. Maybe. Yes the axle is totally deformed but it did not break. Anyway, CTMs will be ordered tomorrow as will the Warns for that side.

Thanks again Rich,
Phil

That's Joel Swanson, he's a member of Far-N-Gone motorsports, along with TonyK, and Kyoder from this board.

Very nice workmanship on that rig, and healthy 383 stroker:D
