Hi guys,

After putting a Dana 44 HD front axle with a spool in it the front section of my frame is starting to tear apart. I just install Sam's beefier steering bracket because the stock one as cracked, and now on the passenger side where the shackle mount is tearing my frame off. Here is a pics.

www.mountianoffroad.com sells a frame plating kit that you weld on, hope this helps...

Uh those shackles scare me for a few different reasons.

I'm a hacker :rolleyes: but thats just scary looking.

How much material is actually left around those top bolts on your shackles? :cool:

Get a welder/and maybe a weldor and some steel and box it in from the front as far back as ya can.

What do the rear tubes look like where THOSE shackle mounts are...just fixed my driverside one (and most older CJs show probs there that I've seen in these parts)...might want to get under there and maybe even take off the rear xmember and take a looksee...they rot inside out...AY? :flipoff2:

Not much, the rear bolts there is nothing left, what i could do is clamp the shackle mount to the frame and weld it there.
Maybe it time for a shakles reverse...
