What is the best intake manifold for low end torque?
Options:
1: oem 1979 aluminum
2: edeljunk performer aluminum
3: edeljunk sp2-p aluminum
Going on a 70 350 in a trail rig.
Thanks!

As far as I ever knew, the best intake for making torque was a dual plane

yeah dual plane is going to be your best bet for low end torque.

ive always ran the elderbrock performer,(not the peformer RPM),,,in lots of trail rigs with great results. best intake for 115 bucks that you can get IMHO

I had a Weiand and loved the torque over the stock one it replaced, but I have not heard anything bad about the edelbrocks either....

I've run w/ 2 different RPM intakes on small blocks in cars, they were great but probably not worth the higher power band in a wheeler, I would think the Weiand would be best, but the Performer is cheaper and you probably wouldn't notice the difference on a sub-5,000rpm mill
