Hello all, I have a paper due on Tuesday for my English 101 class. It's standard 3 page essay where I'm supposed to descibe a concept, person, or idea and tell why it's important. Anyway I've decided to write it on landuse. It's something I care about so it should be a good paper. I've done a bit of searching on here and found lots of good links to data. What I'm hoping for is some suggestions on structure and such. I'm supposed to have 3 main points to argue. I was also hoping to find a non-internet source to site in my paper. Pretty much all the info I find is web based and at least one printed source would probably look better.
Thanks in Advance

how about using the point of view of the environmental extremists as one point, the POV of the real world user (us), and what you think has to be done for these groups to work together for the third....
a lot of the articles you probably read in your search of this section were actually PRINTED, so I would say you can used them as printed references, as long as they were printed. The mountain Democrat is one in particular that puts almost everything online that it prints.....

Thanks for the advice that made me think a bit. I never really think of working WITH the greenies, I always think of them as the enemy. We both care a lot about the enviroment and nature, it's too bad we have totally different viewpoints on how to preserve it. We want to preserve it for people and they want to preserve it from people. It's sad really.
After searching more I found that indeed almost everything I read can be traced back to a "printed" source, that's good to know. I've been rereading some of the greenie sites and damn:eek: That's some scary shit. Anyway thanks for the input it was helpful.

this is true for people that are truly environmentalists. most of these people share the viewpoint of responsible use and conservation where necessary. Unfortunately, the vast majority of "environmentalists" are sheeple, and just follow what propaganda and scare tactics [propaganda and scare tactics might be another topic you could use] the "socialists in environmentalists clothing" are using to write policy....
Most so called "environmental groups" are actually control groups in desguise.....

Don't believe what the green-biased websites are saying. I caught one particular website in an outright lie. They said that the "Sierra San Pedro Martir" forest was allowing "U.S. based lumber interests" access to the "National Park" in order to log the entire mountain. They painted this picture that due to their activities that this would cause the entire mountain chain to "erode" to sea level! This is the same friggin' mountain that you see as the backdrop in Fast & The Furious when Vin Diesel was driving that Camero down in San Felipe, Mexico!
Well, these bastards lied on their website, and somebody who didn't actually interview the park supervisor (Raul) wouldn't even know that this was a full-on lie! I spent a few days with Raul up in the mountain last summer, and he told me a completely different story. If you need more info on all of this, just drop me a line and I'll fill you in. Good luck on the paper!
