I'm using a buick th350, AA adapter to a Spicer 18 transfer behind my 3.8... Is there any easy way to convert to a dana 300? Its a 2wd tranny by the way.

Yep, and they were used only for 1 year by IH. So you've got a rare item in a rare species to look for ;) they're around. but they're not cheap. It would probably be cheaper to buy a new adapter and sell your old one.

but I still need the dana 300 also.. so I'd have to buy a 300 and an adapter...... this way Ill just be bying the 300!

What's the difference with the IH 300 other than the bolt pattern? What I'm wondering is, can it be machined to the IH300/d18 pattern and work. I've never seen a IH300 so it's just a shot in the dark.

The IH Dana 300 has the Texas shaped Dana 18/Dana 20 bolt pattern, the Jeep Dana 300 has a six hole round pattern, no easy way to machine a Jeep case for the IH pattern or vice versa
