Broke the clock the clock spring on a 04 TJ while bleeding the hydro steering system. Besides no horn and a "air bag" light, what side effects can I expect to see? While searching I've read that a broken CS can cause problems with the TPS and cause poor performance issues. I have all of the above problems but don't want to replace the CS to have it break the next time I turn the wheel too far.

Some say the CS can be disconnected and the poor performance problem will go away. Anyone do this with any luck or find another way to by-pass the clock spring all together?

BTW, the motor is a 4.0l and tranny is a Nv3550.
