North Valley 4 Wheel held their 4th annual truck show yesterday. The events were a Rubicon style rock course, mud bog, 30 degree ramp and show and shine. Abba and I won the important parts of the contest.
I placed first in the super modified rock crawl with no penalty points and 19 seconds faster than second place (a Suk) and Abba came in 3rd. Stacy, Abba's wife came in second in the women's event in the rock crawl. My wife didn't compete. My crawl/time was unbelievable. Loren (the Suk owner) had the best time before I went through getting 43 second in the first part and 54 seconds in the second part. I scored a 38 seconds in the first part and 40 seconds in the second part.
Abba placed first in the mud bog and I came in second. A dualie Chevy came in third. I was surprised with my finish since I have just the V6, and a lot of the rigs I beat had small or big blocks. Abba just was amazing in the mud though. He kept on it even after his hi-amp alternator threw an arc to the starter and a small fire started. Then the wiring to his tranny cooler burnt up, but he kept on it and went about 10 feet further after smoke billowed out.
I have some pics I'll get up but I need to collect some from other people too.
