I went to Moab the week before EJS and had a great time.

YouTube - Moab 2010 - Tim makes Suicide Hill (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG1bo9DutaI)

YouTube - Moab 2010 - Tim Makes the Waterfall at Night (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNbjuyalCGY)

YouTube - Tim Big Hot Tub (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyDndYTh4MQ)

Last year I didn't make any of these obstacles. Since then I've done some stuff on my rig and it has really helped.
I think the 1.3 is the next to get upgraded.

Nice! It's always feels good to see you're hard work pay off. I've seen other rigs built more have a harder time on those obstacles.

so sweet man!! i keep watching these over and over i dont think people that havent seen these opsticals realize how big they are!! and there is alot of freakin water in the hot tub when you climb it... and you dont really even launch into it that hard when you climb it and you stay to the right and that line is alot harder!!

sorry to be a pain.. but what gear( gear ratio) did you use. for the exit waterfall.. im thinking i dont have enough motor to use a high enough gear to get the wheel speed for this i have the 6.5 zuk case and 5.29 in my toys but idk.. we will see what we can do.. also whats wheel base and frame height? im 113 and 18 inchs to my t case.. i think im gona get high centered pretty bad on the top!! and im only running 37's

Ready for the cage and various other tubing. Graeme will probably start in May, just in time for me to trailer it to Texas where I'll finsih the rest.

Andy, I hope to see it back in Bend. I was looking forward to wheeling with you.

Wheelbase is 107" and the belly is maybe 2'(guess).
I used low low and 3rd on the water fall. I think I used low low and 2nd on the hot tub.

I think you have enough momentum going over the top of the waterfall that if you do rub your bottom you'll keep going. Plus you kind of straddle a notch on top.

It took several tries at all these obsticles to make them. You see alot of high hp rig fly right up them like there nothing but with the lack of hp you really have to work for it.

BTW, this is me on my last night in Moab just after making the waterfall.
I just got out of my rig and was shaking like a leaf. You could say I was very happy!!

awesome...gettin it on with the 1.3
not to many folks still rockin the 1.3s in their buggies anymore.
if you do a 1.6 swap are you going to keep the five speed or try out an auto?

Northern Navada is at the very top of my list for sure!! Those trails look so fun! All you guy's at TRG's seem very cool also.
The nice thing is that it's close enough I can do it in a long weekend.

Probably do a 2.0l or 2.3l swap. I would like a auto but would worry less with the 5speed.

Haha... Do them again and Britney Spears. There are so many trails there that I really want to do, maybe not for the extreme obsticales but for the scenery. Plus, I brought my quad with me and did some easy trails(fins and things, steel bender) and they were so fun!! I think I could just have my quad there and have a blast for a week.
