I've ridden there.. but I like Penny Pines better and it also "connects" to Stoney Ford
Saying Pillsbury connects with Stoney Ford is kinda like sayin PennyPines connects with Fort Bragg..... you just need a gas station somewhere Those places are huge ...

**Man this is an old post :D

thanks....are either penny pines or lake pillsbury worth a visit???
i just rode stonyford again this weekend, and its hard to imagine a better place (a little rain, some more shade, and more water in the river could help). Rode up past Goat Mtn and the place goes on for days....just need a gas station out there.

Have U tried Elk Mountain? There are some good trails, and the pretty much go all the way back to Pilsbury. There are 100's of miles of trails(or at least it seems), and four or five different campgrounds that a person can camp at. Cow Mt has some good trails, but is more visited by 4X4's and rails. I live up here in Lake County, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Penny Pines is a greast place to ride (well at least I like it I like to park at the bottom in the Middle Creek campgrounds as it's more family friendly, there is a great place for kids to ride all fenced off and a small river/creek (in the summer) for them to play in and cool off.

But ya, Stoneyford is the best.... Where did you park at?? I usually camp at Daves Flats, Just wait for winter and the river will be close to non-crossable and some of the hills become major slop-fest's... Those are the times when a R.V becomes "Priceless" <

That's the Wine Country Rock Crawlers. Based out of Santa Rosa. My dad was in this years group. You were'nt the goon in the pickup on bald tires with a family in the snow were ya? They got him unstuck TWICE and instead of turning around, kept going up the hill like he wanted to keep wheel'n. MORON. Had two little kids with him too, snowing like hell. :shaking:
