I have a 2.5 L in my sidekick followed by a GV Auto to toy/D300 dual cases.

I am running a GV instrument cluster. Needless to say the Dana 300 Tcase has a mechanical speedo cable.
Has anyone had any experience with turming a mechanical speedo cable into the electronic signal required by the GV cluster/computer?

This shit is hard to google as there is apparently a computer geek lingo involving "VSS" so I get nothin but nerd talk in search.

trackers have been converting mechanical speed input into the nessesary electronic vss signal since 1990 (give or take a year)
its all done inside the cluster right behind the speedo needle
might look into that and rig up what you need

Yes, 1991 actually. I pondered if I could cut my old intrument cluster and get the feed from that VSS but don't even know where to start the research as to what to do exactly...
Someone somehere had to have resolved this dilema before so ...Maybe someone will chime in, or... is there an aftermarke VSS in existance?
