350samurai

Your rig inspired me to go w/ a 350, TH350/400, NP205. I'm just not so sure how fit the automatic if i don't go granny 4-spd. Got any more pictures. I searched and only found a picture of the tunnel from the engine bay, http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75132&highlight=transmission+tunnel , how did the cutting and fiting turn out from the inside. Comment on leg room and seat room.

Any body else had to do any cutting on their tranny tunnel (pics or trouble you had)

Thanks

sorry, let me clear up. I will be using a fullsize blazer frame to hold the power better. i can fabricate a body lift into it, but don't want more than the equivalent of a 1" body lift, wanna keep CG low.

Just cut the floor. After the body is on, the rest is just details.

Sorry about the size. No Photoshop at work.

The rest are here:

It really wasn't that hard to fit. I just widened the "mouth" a little bit and opened the sides up. As you know, the Sammy never came with an auto, so the sides are square. All you have to do is make them round.

The only thing you have to watch for is, throttle pedal space. I bent the pedal a little bit and just took all I could without it rubbing.

Nice patch job.

I dread to see what I'm going do to the tunnel this friday.. That's right, I'm starting the process of stuffing that monster toy tranny, and dual tcase into the zuk.

Thanks alot 350,

That was exactly what I needed to hear. I was thinking I was going to be making a whole new floorpan/tunnel. That would have sucked. I plan to work like hell on it when i get home for christmas break. I'll keep ya'll posted when I start getting some work done. I need a running carburated small block V8, tranny (granny or auto), and stout T-case if anybody wants to get rid of some.
