What is the main differance betwen piolt arc and not ... I am interested in 60d ... But wanted know if piolt is something I am really going to need and if 60d is up gradable to poilt arc and what would that cost

Also what is the 60d rated on the inches per minute and what size of metal , and is 1 inch the severity or quality cut rating

Thank you for your interest in a LONGEVITY plasma cutter!

Both the 60amp plasma cutter and the 40D pilot arc plasma cutter would both be a great choice for your thinner gauge hand held plasma cuts. The 60amp machine will be the more powerful of the machines producing a higher current output to cut through heavier gauge material. The 40amp pilot arc will come with a nicer pilot arc torch and comes with a pilot arc start feature that will allow you to use the machine on a CNC table without worrying about the machine interfering with the CNC electronics. The 60D uses high frequency to start the arc which emits a signal that will interfere with radios, phone calls and other electronic devices that transmit signals through air. If you are using the machine for hand held use, you can go with the 60D plasma cutter that will give you a better cutting capability as far as thickness. If you are only cutting thinner material, you can go with the 40D pilot arc and you will get a machine with a better finger depress torch and it will not give off the high frequency signal that interferes with other electronic devices.

The 60D plasma cutter will cut clean up to 3/4 of an inch mild steel.

The 40D pilot arc plasma cutter will cut clean up to 3/8 of an inch mild steel.

Both machine will cut any kind of conductive metal.

I just ordered a 40a pilot arc. Great customer service. I called 3 other companies and got great service. I cant wait to have it at the house to start playing.

Ordered mine Friday...got it yesterday. I had some issues with it and as a result never got it working last night. I called this morning and they said that my psi is simply too high other than that I should be good to go. Can't wait to get home from work so I can try it again! With the exception of it not actually cutting anything last night...I am very please with the machine!

Well, night 2 and still no go. I called today and was told to make sure my psi is around 60...did that, quadruple checked everything....I must be a dunce because I cannot cut shit with this thing....Even tried a brand new piece of sheet metal. It is perfectly clean so I know it has a good ground and cut surface....I don't get it! I REALLY hope that it turns out to be something stupidly simple. If air comes out of the torch that means the air lines are hooked up the correct direction right? It turns on and I can change the amperage and it sends air out so I know that it is wired right....argh!!!

Well looks like the problem MIGHT be solved tonight... Had a friend who has a parker tell me how he resolved it on his. There are two electrodes inside the machine that if they are not gapped properly you don't get a spark. Guess I will check that after work!

I cannot get ahold of them today they are out of the office...does anybody know if I will void the warranty by fixing this myself? I really want to use it tonight...

where are these made?

I got mine yesterday and hooked up today and it fired up and started then burned through the steel like butter. I can't wait to spend some more time with it

They emailed me a mailing label so I didn't have to pay to ship mine back...they will send a new one out tomorrow soon as UPS picks mine up! I cannot say one bad word about this company (A guy was on the phone with me til like 11pm last night trying to get it working, because I don't get home til late)!!! I used to fix computers so I know how shit happens with electronics. I can't wait to use it!
