: 1989 cr250 exhaust valve adjustment?

Any body please tell me how to adjust the valves on my honda, I got a whole new cylinder/ top end any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

CR250? That's a 2-stroke, and to the best of my knowledge, they don't have valves. Unless U R talking about the power valve.

But after all of this, I don't really know any adjustments. Sorry

I kinda hate to say this, but get the factory Honda service manual. It will have every little bit of info on that bike.
They are kinda expensive $50+ but very worth it, as you can do anything with that manual.

BUT ... if I remember right I think you put a little bit of preload on the spring. Because the amount of preload determinds how the "powerband" comes on. It will not hurt the bike if its out of adjustment BUT will damage stuff if left to lose....
