Hi guys - I need a little help. If you are using BobCAD to generate G-code for your Torchmate, would you give me a few tips. I'm not having any luck with Version 23. I downloaded the Torchmate Post Processor from BobCAD but I can't make it work. I am able to save a file in DXF format, then import it into Torchmate 3, but there are lots of problems with that - what it cuts first, etc.

I cut some parts out today to set the plasma machine / travel time / air pressure, etc. The machine works well, I'm just having a hard time generating proper G-code to make it work.

Is there a "lite" version of Torchmate CAD available? I have seen it mentioned on the Q&A page for the Torchmate 2x2 but can't find where it is for sale? Thanks in advance for your help.

The postscript for BobCAD just gives the ability to output a machine code for our software from it. You have to create a toolpath in BobCAD and then generate an NC from it. I am not too familiar with BobCAD, I know it's possible but I don't have the specifics laid out in front of me on the process.

There is a Torchmate CAD Lite software available for 2d / 2.5d work, I believe the price is $299.

I just ordered the Torchmate CAD lite. It should be here by the end of the week. I'll report back how that works out. Thanks for the advice.
