oldjeep 10-14-2002, 09:22 AM Nice pics. Flattys love to lay on their side when they are stock width. It's usually a pretty gently flop though;)

Thanks Dude, I bought it for $200, 24 months ago, took her to the frame. Had the frame blasted, boxed it in & hand biult/machined & fabed EVERYTHING myself. I've been wheel-in for years and get ton's of smack for running 31's and little open dif's... But I don't care me & my buddy with is wranger 1994 just wheel and grin the whole time we are wheelin.....
I can tell that hanging out @ pirate... well the old girl will do nothing but grow over the up comeing years... :flipoff2:
MNBen 10-14-2002, 09:58 AM Nice rig Pottsy, you don't need 38" tires on a flatty. One thing though I'd add additional spreader bars on your cage at the corners. It looks like you just have 2 in the middle over the top. Looks nice though.
Kensoffroad 10-14-2002, 05:00 PM :confused:when did this turn into kindergarden?:flipoff2: all you fawkers being nice makes me:barf: nice little rig but that isnt a roll or even a flop its a lean. Anything you can drive out of isnt a worth mention. If you couldnt drive out go get some lockers.:flipoff2: and some power.:D and whom ever mentioned the cage is right cages like that just get people hurt.especialy when they stick there hands on them:flipoff2:

Flatfenders get special treatment. Any putz can buy a TJ :flipoff2:
Kensoffroad 10-14-2002, 07:47 PM oh I see .I have a flattie to but I cant find it right now the goats have to eat down the black berry bushes
Pottsy 10-15-2002, 04:24 AM yeah.... yeah.... I hear ya... Kindergarden this...:flipoff2: My skin is thick......
Lockers at for :
1. Hard-core wheelers who need them in big rocks..
2. Posers who can't drive with open difs...
I wheel... You wheel .... I dig my wheel-in... You dig your wheel-in...
J. U. is for Yuppies & Locked posers....... That's why I’m here...:flipoff2:
EEEEeeeeeeeeerrrrrrr........:D
P.S. my Dana 25 & 44 has 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern with a 4.125 center hole.... I have drums all around... I want disc brakes, but am not going to spend the money... What can I snag the disc off of and fab stuff to make them fit my crap? Or can I buy new blanks and throw them in the mill with a rotary table.... I know you all are going to say up-grade the axles.... NO I like my 31's and 5:38 gears! I don't want to dump money in to axle's and gears yet!
One more thing, my e-brake is also drum, it hangs off the back of the t-18.... I pulled it off... If I grab a rear disc assembly off an 8.8 ford explorer with the e-brake crap... I’m thinking of tying the disc ass. to where my e-brake drum was... Then tie it to my rear brake line circuit. If I did this an it works, I then could use it as an e-brake plus a 5th brake...
Go ahead rag on me... But give me feed back! I wheel allot of steep long dirt hills. My current brakes (drum) suck! I find myself in first gear going down hill as I turn the engine off and on to get more brake.....
Ok boys... Rip away ... and also ... Im searching... Searching the whole web... :flipoff2:
Love.... Potttsy-:flipoff2:-:D
oldjeep 10-15-2002, 05:09 AM Check out the disc brake conversion on my web site www.oldjeep.com
Uses chevy half ton stuff with cj7 rotors. Bolts right on in the back, and bolts on with a little knuckle griding in the front.
I've got a 44 front now, but have been running this disc combo for 5 years. Works very well.

That's my logic too. Not everything has to be a mega-built buggy that barrel rolled off a cliff. Yeah, it's weak as far as the almighty carnage pic goes, but so what. It's nice to see something like that left in a near stock condition sometimes :) As far as any putz buying a TJ, I have one, so your statement is correct :p
Pottsy 10-15-2002, 06:49 AM Oldjeep....... That the ticket... Your conversion!:bounce:
That is why I posted here.....;) A good solid answer that didn't involve Geo tracker calipers and mitobishi pads.......:p
Im heading to the bone yard at lunch today in search of chevy axles...
Rock On........ Eeeeeeeer

Looking at the headlight rings, I'd say M38A1, but the dash look like a cj5. I just looked quick the first time and mistook the bumper bars for flatfenders
