Just settled in from a 24 hour straight thru drive from Farmington to Indy. Lots of pics to develop, and post, and so many more coming from people I met at the SuperCrawl.

BigDude and I placed 17th :flipoff2: . What an experience, and I for one will be back, hopefully with Pink! If you haven't hit the general board and looked over the photos, get busy, it is some of most insane vertical assencions I've ever witnessed. Funny thing, I've never wheeled on rubber before!

Here's the a real deal, SuperCrawl posers and Bling..Bling!
Props to Jaffer!

Mike -

I heard that BFG had approached you at the last minute. It looks like you were running stock BFG MT KO's. Was this because the Krawler isn't a 'production' tire yet or because of the sizes available?

The coverage that I have seen looks plain old SICK!!!

Congrats on a very good showing!

Jim

I saw the other reference to BFG approaching me and ......... well there is always more to the story, hehehe. I needed a replacement tire for one I ripped when I rolled in Jellico, at the Erocc's final. The bead was torn under the lock ring. We were in the lot Wed night planning to install the new polished MRT lock rings and asked Jeff (BFG Rep) if we could get a tire, like right then. After we established he wasn't gonna open the trailer and dig a tire out for us, some unamed individual made reference to our series championship. Jeff who didn't know me asked my name. Turns out I was gonna be rewarded for being Series Champion with a set of mudders specifically selected for the terrain. Thanks BFG and MRT!

The Krawlers are only available (afaik) in 37x17"'s now, The 35's are expected early next year. I just hope my unexcusable 17th place finish is overlooked when they see all the purty bling bling pics!

Thanks Jeff, Frank and Gary your tires "rocked" the SuperCrawl!

LOL I hate it when that happens...

How were the mudders different?

I don't know any specifics, something about Moab was mentioned.

Mike,

Did the exceptional traction mess you up? I can imagine how it would.

How did the Cruiser perform?

Did you roll?

Is BigDude as cocky as he looks? :flipoff2:

The traction was awesome on day one, at least early. Then as the rubber started to get laid down it gets slick. The climbs and ledges to get onto the climbs was outrageous. I noticed the full awn coil over buggies made it look easy, the leaf spring vehicles had to work for anything they got. BTW9 of the 10 obstacles had 5 min time limits, the other was 6 mins.

I was very happy with the Cruiser, it worked very well, the new flex/travel was excellent. We had only one mechanical incident, on #6 a mash the gas climb the 4 front driveshaft bolts sheared after I launched it up the face and got the front tires over the top. It stops pulling and BigDude checks it out. At this point we have 1:30 left and nothing else is hurt but he can't pull me over the top. I just happen to have one 5/16 bolt and nut, 2) 8 mm bolts and 2) 5/16's nuts handy. He slides under and puts the 5/16 bolt and nut on finger tight, slips the 8 mm bolts in and get a turn maybe of the 5/16's nuts on them. I hop back in, he grabs the strap and when I let the clutch out, it pulled easily thru the exit gate for a score of 4 pts, with only secondes left. That was awesome!

No rolls or flops. I had one "big cocky mo fo" on the end of the strap all day, well except the 2 spotter ride alongs we drove right up! Actually, he was on the end of the rope during one of the ride alongs, hehehehehehe.

Kevin is a great guy, full of piss n' vinegar! Someone will surely post up about the arm wrestling that went on in the bar! For that matter I anticipate pics of some well known POR celebrities on the dance floor, the real pretty one putting some Madonna like moves awn, and the Fat one behaving like a worm! That will probably get my ass kicked for repeating, so I'll leave it alone now.

Got Shine?

SG- We shouldn't have rode the last obstacle :( I could've pulled you up first try, then no backs, and no *cough* out of bounds *cough* I can't get that shit out of my head

The cruiser worked great. The tires looked regular but read out as super softies on the durometer and had some extra girth in the sidewall.

Lot's of major players had tough times this weekend (shaefer, durham, mello, campbell, etc) so we were in good company having a rough event. You can't be top dog all the time, everyone slips up. But at least you did it with some serious BLING
