06tj 04-14-2010, 07:21 PM i have a 31 spline 8.8 out of a 99 explorer. i bought the super 88 axle kit for a 31 spline axle and and a spool for a 31 spline axle. in the notes on the axle kit it says it has to be used with 29 spline carrier. so will my spool work with the kit? bfrazier 04-14-2010, 07:36 PM Your 8.8 is 31 spline already, dont know why it would say anything about 29 spline. It eliminates the c-clips, uses SET20 bearings, and widens the axle about 1.5" overall. And the factory disc brakes bolt back up. jsawduste 04-15-2010, 01:16 PM So does the Super 88 kit.
