realy interested in the new tm 2x2, was wondering if anyone has used the index feature to cut out larger than 2x2 pieces? is it hard to do and is it accurate? thanks

The accuracy is a matter of how well you can move either the material underneath the machine, or the machine on top of the material. So the answer lies in yourself for that one :)

Dallas might see this thread, and I believe it is in another thread in this forum, but he is the only one I know on here who has indexed before and he can give you his opinion on the process. To me it is easy, but I've been doing it for years so for a beginner I'd say the process in the CAD software would be the most difficult part, conceptualizing the process needed.

I've indexed once so far on a 2' x 4' sheet and it wasn't hard. I am setting up my table, (still waiting on my steel order) to take 2x4 sheets and will have a guard fence on the table for making sure things move in a straight index that way I can move the sheet and if its off a little I can use the coodinate move commands to move the torch to an altered 0,0 to compensate for anything that may be off. I am looking forward to the ability to index.

Sounds like you are indexing the steel, not the machine? Is that correct. Do you have pictures of what you indexed. That is something I want to be sure I have a good way to do. Unfortunately my machine is still in the crate but hopefully in the next few weeks I will have it set up and running. I am shooting to have my table able to support a 2x8 sheet of steel if needed.
