Sometimes in life things happen because it was meant to happen.. at least thats what i think... Here it is a monday night and after i finish running an errand after work, i decide to try out my new gears and lockers (front Detroit w/5.29s and rear spool w/5.29s). My friend and i had just finished installing them and rebuilding the front axle late last night. I was doing something that i new was wrong (wheeling totally alone, past dark) and i usually don't do it. All was going very well, i was wheeling on an open area usually used by dirt bikes on one side and has some minor rockcrawling on the other. Well i decided to try and play on some burms out on the bike side of this open area. I had noticed some trucks playing around about 2 miles from where i was at.. going up and down some hills. I was getting ready to leave and i noticed one lone truck stuck up on the side of a very steep hill. I waited a few and he didn't move but his lights were on. I was woundering if was going to back down or if something was wrong. Well i started off in his general direction and he then put on his hazard lights. I looked around and noticed i was the only one around in the area and i was the only one who could see him. I got closer and stopped when i could yell to him. I asked if they were OK. Well to my surprised a girl answered that NO, they needed help. I started up this long steep climb in very loose top dirt (i would never had made this climb with my stock gearing and open diffs) and as i got closer i saw it was a stock jeep. :rolleyes: ....lol... They were stuck good but sitting in a good positon. Well it was actually 3 young girls (very cute ones at that) The hill was so steep i had to pass them up to get to a flatter area where i could park my truck. Well to shortten the story i made the owner of the Jeep drive back down. I told her " You got your self up here, you are going to get your self down". I very slowlly guided her down. When she was safe enough i told them they were now on their own and i started back up the hill (Damn what a hike!) They said thank you and i headed up. I watched from the top as they drove off and woundered what could have happend if some things did not happen to fall into place yesterday and today????
