: factory 17 in steel rim and diy beadlocks

would this be worthwhile project to do? or is the factory rim a pos and not worth the time and effort.

is this the stock 17 off your diesel truck if so i would say yes because of the weight rating of the rim itself.

It would be fine to DIY lock the factory steels. I thought about it for mine at one time. They are plenty strong. The only drawback would be if you needed a little less backspacing, then of course different wheels are the ticket. Keep in mind you gain 3/4-1" of wheel width when putting on a DIY lock kit.

yes this mod would be factory rims that came off a diesel truck. they are getting easier to get now in hawaii and shipping the diy kit is cheaper than custom beadlock rims.
