It all depends on what you do with it. Street driving, you could fit anything, off rod, it all depends on how much you wheel. Also depends on how much of the body you want left...

But, really, please, there's a thread at the top that says "before asking any tech questrions look here". It'll tell you about a really nifty feature most newbies don't use, it's called the 'search' feature. Use it. Love it.

not enough information! stock suspension or do you have a suspension lift? year of truck.

in stock form you could run 32" maybe 33" tires(285/75/16 or 305/70/16), with a standard OME lift you could run 33" to 35" tires, you will get rubbing with the 35s with this set up. there are some new OME springs 850{J} & 863{J} that are longer yet, combined with a coil spring spacer you can run up to 37", with a few other mods.

if you have 4 wheel disc brakes you will have to stick with the 16" rims or shave some metal off your rear calipers, fronts will be OK, to run 15" rims. If you have rear drums, some 15" rims will fit.

i run 35s on mine with 5.5" of lift. i get a little rubbing in the rear. if you want 35s you will really want to go with 4:88 gears. so far i have not broken a birfield, but i have destroyed the very expensive reverse cut 4:88 ring gear.

do a search and find the 80 owners online website, they will probably have more usefull information for you.

no kidding, rubithon this year, outside of the springs, wheel cranked all the way to the right, both front tires stuck in deep rocky V cracks, locked front and rear, truck not coming out of crack, in reverse, large application of throttle, front go BOOM!
80's break like everything else.
