Kicking around the idea of running part of the series. Doing the lands end hill climb for the Grand Slam series and I think it would be fun to do a few of the other races as well.

Temple Canyon is good practice for Lands End.... Only 4 hours from Glenwood.... We will have our big trailer out and I would be happy to help with tools or anything at the race. Lucky Dog does the same if they show up. Loren - you just go to Rausch Creek, quit picking on us little guys and our local series. :flipoff2: Congrats on the SS300.

Its not like a desert race, it is much more intense for much less time. You might as well throw out the GPS because you have to know each setup for each turn by memory. I hope to wet my whistle a bit more before taking on the BIG one in June.

I have my lunch packed! I'm headed to Mexicali for the norra race. Be back on the 5 th if anyone needs info on the hillclimb. Hope to have a class full of ultra 4 cars at temple canyon.

Price goes up as the race gets closer, get it in the mail. Don't forget to add $25 if you don't provide a volunteer. It goes up to $100 on race day:eek: Oh, don't even THINK about putting your membership dues in the same check as you entry fees. That almost took us out last year.

Best of luck to the rock racers at TC. The Kern's Evo left the shop last night, all new shiny intercooler, radiator, and associated plumbing. TC is just a test prior to Pikes Peak in June for them.

Glad to see a Lovell entered in PPIHC, tough class though, best of luck.

We will be at High Plains this weekend, shaking down the Pikes Peak Mini Cooper S, and running a couple of regional SCCA races. Test on Pikes Peak June 5/6 is the next big event

Man, im still looking forward to the day i lay it out and whoop jt's ass.:) but my new rig isnt done just yet. theres still time im hoping for Lands end.. You boys stay safe Checker or Recker!!

Going down tonight to change out rear springs and put the panels back on. Hopefully will load the trailer tonight and be ready to go as soon as the kid is done with school and I'm done with work tomorrow afternoon. Guys were putting the driveshaft loop in and finishing up the last details this afternoon.

Won't make it until after everything closes down tomorrow but will see everyone at 6:00 Saturday morning.

What a great weekend!!! The road was loose, and it made for some great racing. Matt Peterson from rockware won fast qualifier on sat. Then on sun, I ended up leading brad lovell by 6/100ths of a second on the first run. Matt had an encounter with an angry rock and killed a tire, and the boys from offroad design were still turning it up. Then on the second run, brad turned up the heat and beat us all. So he got back his 6/10ts of a second that I got him by last year with interest.So the results after the dust settled: brad lovell 1st, jt Taylor 2nd, Matt Peterson 3rd, and the off road design team was fourth. Look forward to seeing more ultra 4 cars at the next race. Think you are fast on the dirt roads? Come out and let's see.

KILLER race! Matt Peterson, JT, and I were real close all weekend. Matt and JT were swapping fast time until I finally nabbed it on the final run. Pics and video soon.

We have a lot of pics of everyone in Ultra 4 but I just don't have access to them yet. It was fun tight racing. We tuned the truck a bit between runs and I think it made the difference. It really is unique racing - you drive much faster than the desert (and presumably rally) because you memorize the course. I was told to drive Pikes Peak 150 times to know every turn. :eek: That would take a month.

ANYONE HAVE THEIR GPS'S ON TO KNOW TOP SPEEDS. LOOKS LIKE YOU GUYS WERE HAULING IN THAT LONG STRAIGHT AWAY IN THE MIDDLE.:eek:

Highest speed I saw on my gps after the run was 96.6. Had to be o. The front straight. Don't think I got to that on the roller coasters.
