: Bigger than a 60?

Ditching my D44's and heading into the fray after a pair of Rockwells or Unimog axles. Why? Because I can get two steering axles for $450 a piece - can't justify sinking lots o cash into a D60 front by the time I get gears/locker/hysteer/blahblahblah, then buy a rear & do the same...Mog axles seem to be around 700 - 1200 per.

So the problem is, what suspension? Who has a Scout on Rocks or Mog axles? What suspension are you running? I would love to be able to afford coil overs, but figure front leaf/rear quarter ellip is plenty. I'd like to keep it simple, but wanna know what other scouters are doing...

And if Big axles scare you or you think they are stupid,
:flipoff2: fine! But that's what we're heading towards, so I'd appreciate first hand experience....

Why not just fab in a tank or Cat track system with hydrostatic steering? Maybe a dozer blade too. :flipoff2:

A guy that hangs with the WMS crew has a SII with Rockwells....He is on this board, something about "Rubber Ducky" comes to mind.

Edit: I was bored, I searched for you... (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=34022)
